Cane is right, the Miami job list just got a lot less spectacular. None of those guys are the "best coach in America" like the Miami AD was claiming.

Im with mega, Gus Malzahan HAS to be #1 on the list IMO. Who knows what the outside may do, Gus may let the kids murder each other, but they will put up points and they will win games.

But from that list, Tubbs is the only coach with experience at a big time college. Golden at Temple and Edsall at Uconn have never had to deal with the pressures of a big university. Thats a big point, those guys have never had to prove they can handle big fanbases, tough fans and a demanding program.

Tubbs has had to do that at Auburn and Ole Miss.

but Tubbs is not a great coach. He will never be a big time national title contender threat. but he will build Miami to a very solid 10 win team with a nasty defense. Maybe they can let Tubbs run it for 3-4 years then fire him when the program has increased its prestige back up and get a big time coach.
